Nowadays, the university archives still plays a very traditional role within Taiwan‘s universities: They preserve and display the precious documents and archives of the history of theUniversity only. The functions of university archives can be more than these. In this article, the author briefly discusses the mission, organization and staff, holdings, archives processing techniques and services of university archives and provides suggestions to National Taiwan University of how to establish the University Archives in an active way.
