摘要

在電子科技的衝擊中,我們正思索圖書館未來的角色與定位,包括電子圖書館應提供什麼服務,內容的深度與廣度等關鍵性的問題。面對組織變革之際,我們極需一套有用的思考工具。本文主張行銷理論提供一個有力的思考架構,可幫助我們有系統地描繪圖書館未來的藍圖。行銷理論不只是一個觀念,更包含一套可行的技術與程序。不但公共圖書館應講究行銷,大學圖書館亦應運用行銷的理論與技術來提昇圖書館在師生心目中的地位,並確保圖書館提供的產品與服務是我們師生所需要與珍惜的。非營利事業之行銷乃為大勢所趨,本文就大學圖書館為什麼應有行銷的觀念,行銷的內涵是什麼,以及大學圖書館如何應用行銷分別探討。

This article discusses the major concepts of marketing as they are applied to library services in an academic community. It is argued that marketing is a powerful tool not only for a public library but also for an academic library. College and university libraries can benefit from practicing customer-oriented information services that is the centrality of marketing management.

護理人員資訊尋求行為研究

摘要

在醫療照護過程中,護理人員扮演著「資訊管理者」的角色,不只提供訊息予病患或病患家屬,更提供有關病患的資訊給健康小組的成員,作為健康照護決策的依據。隨著醫學的發達、科技的進步及人類對健康態度的改變,使護理人員必須不斷地參與研究、汲取專業知識,以改善護理工作品質,可見資訊對護理人員的重要性。本研究目的在針對護理人員進行問卷調查,以探求護理人員獨特的資訊需求與資訊尋求模式,並能和繼續教育的資源相配合;其次,瞭解護理人員處理資訊問題的技巧及常利用的資源,圖書館始能提供更符合需求、更有效的資訊服務。

Title The Information Seeking Behaviors of Nurses

Abstract

Nurses play a role as information managers in health care delivery. They provide information for medical decision-making to patients and their families, and to the members of health care teams. Information is important to nurses. Along with advances in medicine developments in technology, and changes in attitudes towards health, nurses must continue to participate in research programs, and obtain more professional knowledge to improve the quality of their work.
Through questionnaires, this research examines the information needs and information-seeking behaviors of nurses. Second, the skills needed for information processing and the resources most commonly used by the nurses are also discussed. Therefore, libraries can provide more useful and more efficient information services to nurses.

摘要

讀者在圖書館環境中之情緒並非全然是平和或愉悅的,而是可能陷於焦慮的情緒中,因而影響其利用圖書館的意願及效能,新時代的圖書館服務不應忽視焦慮情緒對讀者利用圖書館之影響。本文針對圖書館讀者焦慮之意涵、成因、及其對圖書館利用之影響進行探討,並提出圖書館組織紓解讀者焦慮情緒之道。

Title A Study on the Library Reader's Anxiety

Abstract

In library settings, readers are not always in a good mood. They might expe-rience anxiety. Reader's anxiety may cause unwillingness to use library. Library management should not neglect the effect of reader's anxiety on the usage of library. This article presents the meaning, the effect, and the causes of reader's an-xiety. Finally, some suggestions on the ways to alleviate the reader's anxiety are also provided.
