摘要

由於新科技的衝擊與大學法的修訂,國內大學圖書館在工作流程與組織架構上,有了顯著的變革·除了技術層面的工作流程與組織架構外,屬於人性層面的組織文化,亦是組織變革時不可忽視的議題·本文主要從組織文化的觀點,來探討大學圖書館的組織變革·文中,首先介紹組織文化的意義與內涵·接著,討論組織的管理領導者與組織文化的關係·最後,對於大學圖書館在組織變革時,提出四點與組織文化相關的議題︰考慮組織文化的契合、注意組織文化變化的落差、強化領導者的溝通能力、及建立變革的組織文化·

Title Organizational Change in University Libraries: The Organizational Culture Perspectives

Abstract

Due to the impact of new technologies and the modification of the University Law the working process and organizational structure of university libraries have being changed significantly. Considerations of the organizational changes should include two entwined aspects the technical and the cultural. This paper examines the organizational change from the aspect of organizational culture. First the definition and scope of organizational culture are discussed. Second the relationship of leadership and organizational culture is proposed. Finally the author raises four issues on organizational change from the organizational culture perspectives: 1. the cultural fitness 2. the organizational change gap 3. The communication skill of leadership and 4. the ever changing organizational culture.

本文旨在介紹圖書館界編目的權威Michael Gorman。文中,首先摘要簡介他在圖書館事業生涯的英國書目局、美國伊利諾大學及美國加州大學三個時期的工作經歷與論著。其後,綜合他參與修訂編目規則的經驗、擔任圖書館技術服務主管的經歷及發表的豐富論著,發現Michael Gorman是一位務實的圖書館員、熱忱的圖書館學的教育家、書目控制的權威及資訊技術的機能主義者。

摘要

本文主要探討大學生「資訊素養與倫理」通識教育課程的理念、主題、教學策略與執行成效。首先闡述設計此課程之理念,包括以往相關課程多著重在電腦/網路科技的理解與應用,缺少情意面向的教學,以及學生缺乏洞察網路帶來可能的正負面影響部分。其次說明資訊素養與倫理課程各主題之內涵:資訊素養、資訊識讀、資訊社會、資訊倫理及網路安全與行為。再則提出可行的教學設計策略,包含問題導向學習法、案例教學法、教學媒體設計原則、教學活動與評量設計原則等,以期能達到最大的教學成效。最後佐以實際授課成效(包括完全網路及面對面課程),提出反省討論,作為日後修改與執行課程之參考。

Abstract

This paper explores the rational, issues and instructional strategies for developing and implementing an Information Literacy and Ethics curriculum for Taiwan college students. The paper first questions why it is infact this curriculum is needed and identifies the lack of an effective learning domain in the existing computer/network curricula. Secondly, important topics for the curriculum content are outlined which include information literacy, information use and verification, information society, information ethics, and Internet safety and behaviors. Thirdly, possible instructional design strategies for the curriculum are discussed, including problem-based learning, case-based instruction, media design principles, course activities design, and evaluation approaches.Finally, the effectiveness of fully online and face-to-face courses is examined.
