摘要

二十一世紀資訊社會的來臨,傳統知識素養已無法滿足國民與社會的基本需求。在多元文化的社會發展與Interent網際網路快速進步下,高等教育不單只是發揮知識的傳播,應如何培養學生具備獨立學習與養成終身學習能力,已是當前許多教育改革的重點。而圖書館學界適時推出資訊素養觀念,便是迎合社會時代的需要。資訊素養是指培育國民具備瞭解資訊的價值,對所需要的資訊能使用適當的資訊工具,有效地查詢、蒐集、組織、評估與利用。因此,如何培養大學生具備資訊素養能力,是當今大學教育應努力的議題。本論文探索資訊素養的概念及其教學理論,並嘗試運用於「資料蒐集與報告寫作」的課程設計與教學方法。

Abstract

Traditional literacy, which emphasizes on people's skills of reading, writing, and calculating, will not be sufficient for citizens in the 21st century. The information society/Internet intensifies the need for information literacy in higher education. Many academic libraries in college or university offer course-integrated instruction of information literacy program to fit the needs of educational reformation. An information literate citizen is a person who must be able to recognize when information is needed and has the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information. How to prepare college students to be infor¬mation literate is a crucial goal in today's higher education. The paper is not only reviews the educational information literacy models and applies information lit-eracy conception to design the course of " Data Collection and Writing Research Papers".

線上遊戲在大學圖書館利用指導之應用

摘要

大學圖書館的任務在於支援教學、學習與研究,為使學生能善用資源促進學習,圖書館利用教育乃為大學圖書館重要工作之一。為吸引學生的學習興趣,早於 1980年代即有圖書館應用電腦遊戲以實施圖書館利用指導教育的例子,而現今在網路與數位科技已成為生活一部分的時代裏,遊戲更是年輕學子的最愛。有鑑於此,國立臺灣大學圖書館遂於 2011年推出「探索遊樂園」線上遊戲,期以寓教於樂的方式教導大一新生認識與利用圖書館的服務和資源。本文主要從圖書館實務工作的觀點出發,首先簡介美國各大學圖書館應用電腦遊戲或線上遊戲以實施圖書館利用教育的情況和實務案例,繼而以國立臺灣大學圖書館推出的「探索遊樂園」為例,敘述其建置過程、遊戲內容的教學設計及粗淺的讀者使用調查結果,試圖經由工作上的實務運作,探討以線上遊戲方式來實施圖書館利用教育是否能達成吸引學生興趣之目的,並將此實務經驗提供給圖書館界同道參考。

Title Library Instruction through Library Games in Academic Libraries

Abstract

Teaching undergraduate students how to use the library is one of the important tasks of academic libraries. To attract freshmen to participate in a library instruction program or information literacy program, there are many university libraries that have designed computer games, web-based games, digital games, or online games in the United States of America. In September 2011, National Taiwan University Library released a new e-learning course called “NTUL Wonderland” for incoming students’ library instruction program. This article introduces several cases of using online games for teaching information literacy and library skills in American universities, and then, describes the development, implementation, and users’ satisfaction survey of “NTUL Wonderland” at National Taiwan University.

教師與館員合作推廣學生利用圖書館資源之研究─以景文技術學院為例

摘要

本研究利用文獻分析法,探討圖書館與教師建立良好夥伴關係的方法,以及瞭解教師與館員共同推動圖書館利用指導與資訊素養教育的合作模式;另利用問卷調查法,探究景文技術學院館員與教師合作推廣圖書館資源方案的實施成效。最後提出幾項研究結論與建議,做為目前從事圖書館利用指導及資訊素養教育的大專校院圖書館同道參考。

Abstract

Through literature reviews, this study explores approaches in building great relationships between faculty and library, in addition to outline several collaborative models for faculties and librarians to implement library instruction and information literacy education. This study also conducts a questionnaire survey to investigate the achievement and effectiveness of a program that is implemented by librarians and faculties together in Jin-Wen Institute of Technology for promoting library resources. Finally, several summaries and recommendations are made by the study as references to all university and college libraries in Taiwan.

圖書資訊利用教學網之開發與評鑑

摘要

以網路進行各種型式的教學日益普遍,網路在教學的應用上得以擴展。利用網路提供圖書資利用知識也逐漸的為許多圖書館使用。網路化教學可以突破時空的限制,達到教學的目的,而且也可以補足傳統面對面教學的不足。透過網際網路溝通的功能,例如:電子郵件、電子佈告欄、討論區、線上交談等功能,不但可以加速教學,而且能夠提供學生新型態的學習途徑,讓學生藉由網路,達成必要的學習互動,並增進資訊的交換與學習。 網路化學習固然使得學生、教師、館員之間的互動更具彈性,且不受時間與空間的限制,但在推廣與實施上仍然具有一些潛在的問題值得深入探討。本文的目的即在於藉由一大學網路化圖書資訊利用教學系統的開發與應用,討論網路化學習對於資訊素養推廣的潛力,以及在推廣上的瓶頸。

Title Development and Evaluation of a Web-Based Library Instruction

Abstract

With the increased popularity of WWW (World Wide Web) in various education settings, the application of web technology in teaching and learning is extended. Library instruction, likewise, is seeing a move to the web to supplement traditional modes of face-to-face classroom instruction. Placing library instruction on the web can make instruction available to users without the constraints of time and space. Through the use of technological tools, such as e-mail, bulletin board, discussion, and online-communication, effective learning and interaction can be achieved.Web-based learning provides a flexible way for communication among teachers, students, and librarians. However, potential problems exist in practice, requiring further exploration. The paper deals with how a web-based library instruction has been developed and implemented for offering fundamental information literacy instruction. Students' responses to the instructional materials were assessed. Issues related to the web-based library instruction are also discussed.
