摘要

資訊組織對圖書館而言是一項核心專業工作,然而資訊組織工作一直隨著時代的演進而不斷的改變,特別是面對當前資訊網路時代的需要,編目館員勢必得禁得起科技進步與時代變化的考驗,才能生存下去不被淘汰,鑑此,編目館員的在職訓練更顯重要。本研究欲探究之問題為:(一)編目館員養成所需之訓練課程為何?(二)我國因應時代發展培育編目館員在職訓練課程的發展演進?以及(三)目前國內培育編目館員所欠缺且需加強的在職訓練課程為何?本研究利用文獻探討與內容分析之方法,將我國培育編目館員的訓練課程發展情形加以歸納分析,建議採取二個發展主軸來設計與規劃課程:一是基本核心必須知道的專業資訊組織知識與技能;另一則是配合各時期所發展的新興概念議題與技術。此外,也提出三項規劃編目館員在職訓練課程的原則重點:(一)在地優先國際為輔;(二)兼顧理論與實務;及(三)掌握新興知識與技術發展趨勢。

Abstract

Information organization is one of the core professional works in library, and its functions have continuously changed as time goes by. In the era of Internet, professional catalogers encounter more challenges. Therefore, on-the-job training and educating catalogers seems to be more important than ever. Three research questions are proposed in this study. First, what training curriculums are needed for educating catalogers? Second, what is the development of the on-the-job training curriculums for catalogers in Taiwan? Third, what additional training curriculums are needed for educating catalogers? Based on the results of literature review and content analysis, this study proposes two
dimensions to design and plan the training curriculum. One is the core knowledge and skill on the topic of information organization; the other is the emerging concept and technology on the topic of information organization. In addition, this study presents three principles of designing the on-the-job training curriculums for catalogers: (1) from the local to the global, (2) combining theory with practice, and (3) grasping emerging knowledge and the trends of technology.

水產研究人員隱性知識分享之研究

摘要

本論文的研究目的為分析水產研究人員的隱性知識在學術傳播的分享方式,探討水產研究人員隱性知識分享的現況,並綜合研究發現,提供水產專門研究之圖書館提供服務的方向。本研究以質性研究為取向,主要採取深度訪談法,輔以參與觀察和相關文獻資料來進行資料蒐集,研究對象為水產試驗所研究人員,於民國九十四年八月至十月間採取立意的配額取樣,針對十六位研究人員進行深度訪談,其後將資料予以歸納分析、編碼與詮釋,最後作結果呈現。研究結果顯示,水產研究人員的隱性知識是屬於專業實踐的現場知識;分享的方法是直接的溝通方式;隱性知識轉移的重要性因為層級與認知不同而有差異。研究建議,成立隱性知識分享小組,並進一步提昇圖書館成為知識中心。

Title The Research of Tacit Knowledge Sharing: a Case Study of Taiwan Fisheries Research Institute

Abstract

This study is a quantitative research to explore researchers' tacit knowledge sharing behaviors of the Fisheries Research Institute in Taiwan. The goal is to enhance library's services to fisheries researchers through this understanding. The study has depth interviewed 16 researchers from different departments of the Institute. In addition, their relevant work documents such as laboratory diaries and project notes are also reviewed.
The study shows that researchers€' tacit knowledge is the knowledge of professional practice. Their sharing method mainly is direct communication through conference, meeting, and laboratory diaries and notes. The study found that the Institute lacks a systematic mechanism to display researchers€' tacit knowledge. The importance of the transfer of tacit knowledge is not firmly recognized. Thus, the study suggests that creating specified groups and establishing environment for sharing tacit knowledge in the Institute are needed. Also, the Institute could enhance library€ functions to become a fisheries knowledge management center in Taiwan.

摘要

電子圖書館是當今資訊界熱烈討論的話題及共同努力的目標,然而相關的討論與努力大都以「科技」觀點出發,而少涉及電子圖書館的本質。本文旨在澄清一般人對電子圖書館的幾個錯誤觀點,說明館藏在電子圖書館的重要性,尤其期許蛻變中的大學圖書館,發展成為一具有館藏特色的「電子學術圖書館」,並說明電子館藏之發展政策及館藏維護相關問題。

Abstract

Electronic libraries have been popular topics recently and their establishment is the goal of lot efforts. However most discussions and efforts are focused on technical respect and rarely ouch the essence of electronic libraries. The purpose of this article is to clarify some incorrect view points, to emphasize the importance of collections in electronic libraries and also to explain their collection development policy and related maintenance problems. Especially, we anticipate the changing university libraries to develop into “Electronic Academic Libraries”, with special features on their collections.

圖書館電子資源投資報酬率評量研究:以南台科技大學為例

摘要

電子資源對大學圖書館使用者是最直接便捷的資訊取用途徑,且認為是圖書館應提供的重要服務。然而電子資源價格昂貴,大學經費日益緊縮,在有限的資源下,只依據使用者需求之概念性價值認定,圖書館難以在母機構爭取合理的經費訂購電子資源。若能分析電子資源的成本效益,證明其可為研究者及校方創造實際的價值,將有助於圖書館在經費預算上的爭取。本研究以南台科技大學圖書館為例,利用三種評估方法計算大學圖書館在電子資源的成本效益:一是利用假設市場評估法,調查讀者對於電子資源的願付價格以計算其投資報酬率;其二,參考MLA圖書館服務價值計算方式,以館際合作之文獻傳遞價格計算讀者使用電子資源的收益以求得投資報酬率;第三是參考伊利諾大學所提出的計算方法,以研究者使用圖書館電子資源撰寫研究計畫而獲得校外研究補助案的實質效益。研究結果發現,上述3種評估方法的結果均顯示,南台科技大學圖書館在電子資源的投入成本可獲得正面的經濟效益。

Abstract

Searching databases and subscriptions available online has proven to be the most expedient means for library users to acquire information needed. The library arguably bears such a mission to make available as much information online as possible. However, the cost for a library to upgrade and expand their e-services seems to be rather high, amidst school’s limited budget. Relevant ROI studies would apparently be needed to help validate the spending on a library’s online digital services. This research conducts the following three ROI assessments to investigate the case relating to Southern Taiwan University Library. First, using a contingent valuation method, a survey done to determine the ROI based on the fees users are willing to pay for e-services. Second, in reference to the service value calculator the Massachusetts Library Association uses, ROI is done based on inter-library loans and usage. Third, using the model of University of Illinois’s study in which e-resources has been proven effective for proposals to secure outside funding, ROI case in point is positive. The conclusion shows the positive economic value for Southern Taiwan University Library to invest on e-resources.
