摘要

本研究之目的是以醫學圖書館服務作業中的技術服務、讀者服務、以及醫學圖書館的管理相關議題、醫學圖書館員資訊科技應用以及醫學基礎知識這五個層面來了解在醫療相關組織內的醫學圖書館員應具備之專業能力為何,以符合其在組織中的應扮演的角色與任務之需求。本研究採用專家深度訪談之方式,來獲得在醫學圖書館相關領域之專家對於醫學圖書館專業能力需求之意見。

我國企業圖書館館員核心能力之研究

摘要

企業利用土地勞力創造利潤的神話,今日已不復存在,取而代之的,是更富價值的資訊智產。企業圖書館由是在此種迫切的需求下應運而生,而企業圖書館員本身所獨具之核心能力,無疑是帶令企業安然渡過下一波知識經濟狂潮的絕佳優勢。本研究以天下雜誌大企業為研究對象,兼採問卷調查法與個案訪談法,針對已設置企業圖書館或資料中心負責人進行問卷調查,藉此了解企業圖書館員之核心能力,並探究目前國內企業知識管理之實施進程,與企業圖書館涉入知識經濟管理之概況。個案訪談的結果除佐證上述研究發現外,特別強調圖書資訊學專業背景是勝任企業圖書館負責人不可或缺的專業能力,最後根據研究結果提出幾點建議,以作為未來國內培訓企業圖書館人才,與企業圖書館經營發展方面向之參考。

Title The Core Competencies for Corporate Librarian

Abstract

The mythology that enterprises make profits by land and labor no longer exists. The more valuable “ information intellectual capital” has taken its place. Responding to the calls, the corporate library has emerged. The core competences that the corporate librarians possess will undoubtedly shape up predominance that directs enterprises to peacefully ride out the knowledge economy storm. This thesis targets the employers of the top five hundred domestic enterprises in which the corporate librarians or information center has already been set up. Questionnaires and interviews had jointly been applied to comprehend the core competences possessed by corporate librarians and to make a thorough inquiry into the progress that domestic enterprises have made for knowledge management and how much the corporate library is engaged in knowledge management. In addition to supporting the results of the questionnaires, the interviews also emphasize that the leaders of corporate libraries require library information science background, a crucial factor in managing the corporate library. In conclusion, a few suggestions are proposed as reference for training future corporate librarians and managing corporate libraries.

本研究採文獻分析法與問卷調查法蒐集相關資訊,除分析專門圖書館員學科背景,工作表現與工作滿意度之相關文獻且加以彙整外,並利用問卷調查法進行館員意見之蒐集,分析館員學科背景的完整性,與其對學科背景的看法,工作表現及工作滿意度三者間之關連,並就研究結果歸納結論且提出七項建議,以作為母機構遴選和培訓人員之參考。

Title A Study of Research Librarians’ Educational Background, Work Performance and Job Satisfaction in Information Age

Abstract

The study uses two methods to collect related information about this issue. One is literature review, the other is questionnaire survey. It not only organize documentations within the following topics: special librarian’s educational background, work performance and job satisfaction, but also applies questionnaire survey method to obtain the opinions of these issues from librarians. Based on the above information and survey results. The paper analyzes the relationship between educational background, work performance and job satisfaction, and proposes seven suggestions for research libraries to serve as a reference instruction on acquiring and training staffs in the future.

全國館際合作系統績效衡量與使用者分析之研究

摘要

適逢我國「全國館際合作系統」建置與使用滿三年,其系統功能與使用者使用形態日趨穩定。此時利用系統所記錄之數據,分析與探討此系統執行績效與使用者形態成為重要研究課題。本研究發現,此系統執行之績效,無論在申請件之成本、總件數、退件率與處理時間等衡量指標上,均逐年改善與進步。另外,參與館際合作之單位間,其申請件數、申請對象或讀者使用的傳遞方式等事件,均有值得探討的現象與形態。本研究結果值得未來該系統改版或功能改善之參考。

Title Analysis of User Behavior and Measuring the Performance of Interlibrary Loan System in Taiwan

Abstract

It has been three years since the Interlibrary Loan System in Taiwan was set up and began to operate, the functionality of the system and user status are getting more steady. Breaking down the system transaction logs and statistics, it is crucial to analyze and measure or evaluate the system performance as well as the system usage and user’s behavior. This study finds the performance of operation cost, application quantity, turnaround time and full rate have been improved year by year. What's more, there are several phenomena about the quantity, applicants of ILL and types of document delivery which have emerged among the cooperated libraries. All these facts are worthy of reference for the system improvement in the future.

Rapid acquisition of the key knowledge and technology of the knowledge creation become more and more important in the fast-developing world of information technology. 摘要

知識經濟時代的來臨使得圖書館扮演的角色日益重要,伴隨網際網路的興起與普及,讀者不僅可以獲得多樣化快速檢索資訊與共同使用知識的便利,過去衡量圖書館服務的量表也漸不適用。本研究的主要目的便是要發展一個適用於網際網路時代的圖書館服務品質量表,首先參酌「服務滿意度」、「服務品質」、「圖書館服務品質」等領域的相關文獻,歸納出初步的「圖書館服務品質量表構面」,其中包括「人員服務」、「檢索系統易用性」、「典藏服務」、「檢索設備服務」、「期刊參考服務」、「館藏資源服務」等六個探索性因素構面,並以此六個因素構面為基礎,進一步發展「圖書館服務品質量表」進行統計上的驗證,本研究所發展的量表在探索性及驗證性因素分析中,均獲致良好的信度與效度。最後,針對後續研究及圖書館實務界提出若干建議。

Title Development and Validation of a Model for Measuring Library Service Quality in the Internet Context

Abstract

Library plays an increasingly important role in the age of knowledge economy. With the prosperity of the Internet, users can conveniently make use of various information retrieval and knowledge sharing facilities. Hence, current models for measuring service quality of library are perceived as inapplicable as they are targeted primarily towards traditional library contexts. The main purpose of this study is to develop a comprehensive model and instrument for measuring library service quality in the Internet context. This study first reviews the literature relating to library service quality, and then proposes the six exploratory dimensions of library services, including personnel service, retrieval systems’ ease of use, preservation service, information retrieval facility, journal reference service, and collections resource service. Based on the six dimensions, this study further proposes and validates a model for measuring library service quality. Through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, evidenece of reliability and validity of the proposed model is presented. Finally, we conclude this study by discussing limitations and implications for research and practice.

大學資訊素養課程之研究

摘要

自1974年Paul Zurkowski 提出資訊素養的觀念之後,對大學資訊素養課程方面的研究並不多見。無論如何,為培養未來具資訊素養的國民作準備,高等教育應重視資訊素養有關之教育議題。鑑此本研究目的為探討大學資訊素養課程,除文獻回顧以瞭解大學資訊素養有關之教育內容、課程發展程式、教學方法、評鑑方式與相關教學研究外,並問卷調查33為授課教師對課程設計方面的看法,研究之結果有助未來大學資訊素養課程規劃之參考。

Title Information Literacy Curriculum in Higher Education

Abstract

Few students have been done on information literacy curriculum in higher education since Paul Zurkoski introduced the concept “information literacy” in 1974. However, higher education must shift focus to putting more efforts to prepare for the growth of information-literature citizen. Questionnaires were submitted to 33 teachers both in Taiwan and the U.S. to explore their perceptions of teaching information literacy, including teaching audience, course objectives, instructional modes, course contents, evaluation methods, and related learning resource. The results represents here could beneficial to education attempting to design effective information literacy programs.

我國大學圖書館合作館藏發展問題探討

摘要

雖然我國大學圖書館已經具體推動若干館際合作業務、組成聯盟引進國外資料庫、建立文獻傳遞系統,但這些仍只是合作館藏發展之基礎工作而已。所謂合作館藏發展,必須是圖書館之間在館藏的建立及管理等方面有正式的協議,圖書館的館藏發展政策互為影響,而且保證彼此的館藏能夠互相依賴。本研究室以問卷調查法探討我國大學圖書館合作館藏發展之現況,以及對於合作館藏發展、合作採訪電子資源、合作館藏發展之規劃的看法。

Abstract

University libraries in Taiwan understand the significance of cooperative collection development and have already promoted some cooperation programs. But, in terms of cooperative collection development, to form consortia in order to import foreign electronic database, or , to establish document delivery systerm, are merely basic requirement. Libraries need to work out a formal cooperation program which ensures their collection development policies are interdependent. Questionnaire was used in this study to investigate the issuses concerning cooperative collection development of university libraries in Taiwan.

我國公立大學暨學院圖書館館員工作壓力源之調查研究

摘要

圖書館組織經歷經費緊縮、科技快速變遷、人事精簡與讀者日益多元化之資訊需求等難題,身處於變遷如此劇烈的環境中,圖書館館員產生了比以往更大的工作壓力。過度的工作壓力會影響館員的工作績效,故圖書館組織對於館員個人之工作壓力不宜置身事外,而應正視此問題之重要性。要做好圖書館館員之壓力管理,則須先了解館員工作壓力源所在,方能面對工作壓力提出解決之道。筆者以我國公立大學暨學院圖書館館員為研究對象,進行探索性之調查研究,探討圖書館組織中的各種工作壓力源。研究結果顯示科技變遷與工作負荷過重為受訪館員的最大二項工作壓力源。

Title An Empirical Study on the Job-Related Stressors among National University and College Librarians in Taiwan

Abstract

Libraries are subject to on-going financial and staffing restrains, continuing technological change, and rising patron expectations which have resulted in increased job stress. Stress is not a naturedly bad thing- it may be stimulating, motivating and provide excitement to individuals. However, when it exceeds individual librarian's ability to cope it becomes harmful both to library and staff. The purpose of this study is trying to identify the job-related stressors in the library settings of national universities and colleges in Taiwan. The study indicates that technological change and workload are the most stressful factors.
